Photosynthesis Disproves the Bible
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
Genesis 1:9-19
This is yet another massive inconsistency in the book of Genesis. To review, the Bible is either all or nothing. Why? Well, the Bible is believed to be the word of a perfect deity. That being said, the Bible has to be faultless. However, one can argue that man tainted its perfection. There’s a problem with that assumption. If one chooses to assume that, the argument of preservation is destroyed. The usual assumption is that god wrote a perfect word and preserved it; that preservation is evidence proving that the Bible is the word of god.Notwithstanding, if man tainted the Bible, god failed to preserve it. Furthermore, god has predestined skeptics, like myself, to condemnation. I am given plenty of reason to be a non-believer due to inconsistencies such as the above outlined. So, let’s expound a little.
The above verse claims that plants and vegetation existed prior to the Sun. This poses an immediate issue. Photosynthesis is necessary for all life to exist. However, both plantlife and a source of light are necessary for photosynthesis to occur. One may answer, well god said, “let there be light.” However, that will be nothing but faith based speculation. Moreover, it will be a futile defense of a book full of violations. The book of Genesis violates the basic scientific principle that is photosynthesis. Nonetheless, this is a small violation. The book also violates the Theory of Evolution and laws of Physics.

By the way…I don’t believe in the literal account of the Creation event…

True, but Christians assume that god created both plants that do and do not need photosynthesis. Yes, they also don’t...
