Militant atheist? I don’t see atheists blowing people up in the name of “No God”. New atheist is any atheist who won’t sit down and shut up! Religion creates the sewer in which prejudice swims. It is an artificial concept based on hot air and hearsay filtered through a millennium or two of Chinese whispers. Atheism does not have the multi-thousand year rhetorical actors of organized religion nor the bleating brainwashed followers.
