This video is an hour and a half long. Every minute of it is important. I always say we need to know about other religions, because when we don’t we make stereotypical judgments based on ignorance. There is no typical Muslim, Christian, or Jew, as there is no typical Atheist.

This is a great inside look. It does not sugarcoat anything. It shows Muslim countries with women leaders and those who treat women as property. It interview Muslim women who don’t feel as if they are treated badly, and those who have studied the Koran and are against it. I knew the Bible very well yet I used to believe that my husband should love and place God before me. I was ok being second in my relationship. I get what living your faith is about.

I will warn that some of it is hard to watch, especially as it relates to the treatment of women. There may be triggering footage related to violence, capital punishment of women, and a very graphic female genital mutilation scene. But if you can, please watch this. It’s important to make informed decisions and nothing facilitates that better than knowledge. ~ Kim
