Yet Another Bullheaded Apologist for Genocide
Because I’m tired of reblogging long-winded text posts -
Now you’ve confirmed the first impression you gave me. You are indeed an apologist for genocide. Looking at those verses and calling them “god’s punishment” for x or y or saying “they’re from Satan” doesn’t change the fact that your god murdered children. He did command the murder of Amalekite children and infants due to their ethnicity. They didn’t obey the Israelite god because he wasn’t their god. Why wasn’t he their god? Because they were a different ethnic group than the Israelites. The same applies to the Egyptians, the Babylonians and every other ethnic group the Israelites supposedly conquered. Therefore, all of your apologetic garbage is moot.
Pre-Jesus? You can go in depth you say? Clearly you are grossly underestimating me. No worries; I’m quite fond of such condescension. Let’s just put it this way, your Christ didn’t exist and Jesus as a historical figure is still a question mark regardless of what your brethren will have you believe. Refer to my historicity page if you have any interest in being honest about your beliefs.
Einstein’s conversation with his professor? No (!), that did not happen; that’s an urban legend. Moreover, pseudo-Einstein’s logic is severely flawed. Don’t be lazy; Google a criticism of that dialogue and you’ll quickly find out that a true science professor wouldn’t even be close to boggled by pseudo-Einstein’s questions and objections.
To the contrary, I do want to hear and understand why people are blind to clear examples of evil perpetrated by this god they believe in. It isn’t my fault that I find fault in every explanation. I have proven you wrong and you have backed down — whether or not you want to acknowledge that is irrelevant. Of course you won’t admit defeat; that’s why I label you and people like you ‘obdurate’. Obdurate is slightly more than mere stubbornness. One is obdurate when one is so stubborn as to never change their opinion on a given matter. You already stated that I (or anyone else for that matter) will “never change [your] mind.” That is never a good way to enter a discussion. Try again? That’s perhaps a futile endeavor, but it clear that you’re weak, ignorant and obdurate: weak because you will never change your mind and that implies that you can’t live without your beliefs or more accurately and as you would put it, your relationship with god; ignorant because you refuse to acknowledge any view that isn’t consistent with your own and of course obdurate for the reason previously mentioned. In any case, beating your chest, raising your head and proclaiming that your faith was strengthened is a bluff and a front if I do say so myself. I can refute your entire religion in my sleep, but that will of course fall on deaf ears.
I’ll end this with these questions that I want you to dwell on and answer on your own: don’t you want to believe in something true — especially when considering that Christianity declares itself the truth? Thus, if Christianity is untrue, why should anyone invest in it? Regardless of what you believe, don’t you want to know if it’s true or false? That’s exactly the questions I dealt with; therefore, it is honesty that led me to atheism. Furthermore, assuming your beliefs are true, god should value your desire for honesty being that he’s not a man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19).

I guess this is it because you shut the eye of reason; that is, of course, if it wasn’t already shut from the onset.
