Nonsense of the Highest Order

whycatholicism:

Question 1: Hasn’t the Darwinian theory of evolution shown us how it is possible for all the order in the universe to have arisen by chance?

Evolution has nothing to do with cosmology.  I don’t say this often, but it is definitely applicable to this question:  this is a really stupid question.  This is what happens when ignorance of the highest order leads to nonsense of the highest order.  I would address the rest of the article, but this question sullies the article beyond recovery.  For crying out loud, please educate yourself; you seriously need to realize that this type of thinking hinders humanity.  This is exactly why I’m against Christianity; its adherents are either anti-scientific or are the type to distort information in order to reconcile the facts with their falsehoods.  “Why are atheists always attacking Christianity?”  “Question 1” is a perfect example!

There is no excuse!  I don’t care if you don’t want an Ivy League education.  There’s Coursera!  There are a myriad of online science publications!  There are a number of science magazines.  There are a plethora of edu websites!  There are droves of educated people on the internet.  When all else fails, there’s Wikipedia!  Get your head out of the Bible and learn something.  This ignorance isn’t only frustrating; it becomes tiring because it is perpetuated repeatedly and the gullible gobble this hogwash without questioning.  I promise you this:  next time (and I hope there isn’t a next time!) I see an article like this, I will not keep it brief.  Furthermore, I will be looking to embarrass you.  Yes, there are a bunch of exclamation points throughout, but consider this an admonition—consider it tough love.  To me you’re not a Catholic; you’re a human!  You are bound by the chains of religious ignorance.  A hagiographical figure promised you freedom.  I guarantee you freedom!  All you need to do is question and accept the facts—even if they contradict your most prized beliefs.
