I think it should be noted that Neil DeGrasse Tyson, while he may be a great scientist and a rather fluent orator, is just a miserable philosopher.

Great.  Now what does this have to do with atheism?  Mr.Tyson doesn’t identify as an atheist; I’m sure you know that.  In any case, someone who doesn’t conform to your apologetic philosophy isn’t someone who qualifies as a miserable philosopher.  He’s a scientist; he doesn’t need to be well-versed in philosophy—especially when considering the fact that he would rather not take part in discussions on religion, theology, the existence of god, etc.  With that said, this post is not only misplaced; it’s useless.
